Akaa-Volley won KyKy-Betset and is now waiting for semifinals against VaLePa. Two yeras ago Akaa-Volley got the pronze medals and last spring brought the silver position in the league. Thus, this spring will be the time for celebrating the gold?
There are all possibilities to be number one in this season. But, winning the rest of the matches (best of five -system in semifinals as well as in finals) requires that the whole team is in its best condition and is performing in its highest level.
In the semifinals, Akaa-Volley will meet VaLePa which has been dominating the Finnish Wolleyball Championship League during the last seasons. We could assume to see extremely interesting matches on the 28.3., 30.3. and 2.4. + 4.4. and 5.4. if needed. The teams have both been really strong in their home arenas through out the season and both the coaches and players know each others pretty well.
These matches are must to be followed!
The performance of the opposites - Matej Smidl of Akaa-Volley (hitting the ball) and Urpo Sivula of VaLePa (number 1 in the block) - is important for the both teams in the semifinals.
